Johnson's Poultry Mite and Lice Powder is a natural, non-toxic Diatomaceous Earth powder that is an absorbent drying agent for keeping bird housing clean and dry. The natural properties of the Diatomaceous Earth also cause insects to dehydrate. This product is effective against red mite and northern mite, which are commonly found in chicken coops. It is also safe to be used on laying chickens.

How to use:
How To Use: Chickens, Turkeys, Ducks, etc.: Use early in the day to prevent birds inhaling powder while sleeping. Apply powder carefully and evenly over body, by hand if necessary, treating base of neck, tail, under wings and breast feathers. Avoid eyes. Apply directly, using 3-4g powder per bird. Repeat weekly if necessary until infestation is cleared. While treating birds, to help prevent reinfestation, sprinkle powder in chicken coops, housing, etc., where mites breed, paying particular attention to corners, cracks, crevices, perches, nesting areas, etc. May also be added to dust baths. Use approx. 30g per square metre. Avoid contact with food and water. NOTE: Most effective way of treatment: one person holds the bird protecting its eyes with one hand, while second person parts feathers and applies powder. It is advisable to use household rubber gloves when applying powder.
