Updates to our Terms and Conditions
From 31 January 2024, we are launching our updated website and app, which will have a new look and improved functionality. As part of this transition, we are updating our Terms and Conditions to reflect the following changes:
- changing the name of our loyalty club from ‘Pets VIP Club’ to ‘Pets Club’;
- changing the name of our flea, tick and worm treatments subscription service to ‘Health Plans’ which covers the different parasite treatment subscriptions we offer at Pets at Home; and
- making changes to our easy-repeat service including aligning the discount we offer across all easy-repeat eligible products and introducing a delivery fee for orders under £25 that are delivered to a chosen address (rather than to one of our local PetCare Centres).
We encourage you to carefully read our new Terms and Conditions which are available below.

Website information &availability
- Whilst we take every care to ensure that the information on the Website is accurate and complete, some of it may be supplied to us by third parties and we are unable to check its accuracy or completeness. You are advised to verify the accuracy of any information before relying on it. Further, due to the inherent nature of the Internet, errors, interruptions and delays may occur in the service at any time. Accordingly, subject to condition 14 below, the Website is provided “AS IS” with warranties excluded to the fullest extent permissible by law. Subject to condition 14 below, we do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in any and/or all of the information provided on the Website or interruption in availability.

Please always refer to the product packaging upon receipt of your order for the fullest and most up to date copy of the product’s ingredients.
- Suitable Breeds. We understand that when shopping online, it may be difficult to visualise the actual size of an item, even where approximate product dimensions have been provided. We have therefore provided where possible, a list of potentially suitable breeds for many of our products. This list is a guide only and is by no means meant to be definitive. This guide is based on a breed’s generic size and attributes. Each pet is an individual and therefore, while a product may generally be suitable for a certain breed type, it may not be suitable for certain individual pets. Therefore, upon receipt of your order, please ensure that you are confident that the product(s) you have purchased will in fact be suitable for your pet’s unique individual requirements.

The Advanced Notification Email will be sent prior to the intended delivery date of your Instalment and will include details of your Instalment, an indication of the price you will pay if the Product’s price on the website remains the same until payment is taken, any applicable delivery fees, and instructions for how and when you can cancel or amend the Instalment. After expiry of this period, assuming that you have not cancelled or amended the Instalment and your payment has been processed, you will be sent a further email confirming your order, notifying you of the amount you have paid (including discounts and delivery fees) and the expected delivery date (“Order Confirmation Email”). Payment for your Instalment will be taken by your chosen payment method before or at the time of issue of the Order Confirmation Email. After that, you will also be sent an e-mail at the address associated with your account confirming to you that we have dispatched the easy-repeat Product to you (“Dispatch Confirmation”).
- Each Instalment constitutes a separate offer from you to purchase Product. Each Instalment will benefit from the easy-repeat discount associated with that Product at the time of us issuing the Order Confirmation Email. The contract for each Instalment shall be concluded when the product is dispatched to you and you receive a Dispatch Confirmation.
Product Availability & Discontinued Products
- From time to time, your easy-repeat Product may be unavailable for one of the following reasons:
- out of stock: if your easy-repeat Product is out of stock and cannot be delivered to you, we will contact you to either: (1) advise you of the next available date that we can deliver that Instalment; or (2) to inform you that we have had to cancel the Instalment (or remove a Product from the Instalment), so that you can source products from an alternative supplier until your next delivery due date.
- change relating to Product: if your easy-repeat Product is going to change (for example a recipe, a change in size or a packaging change), you will be notified and if you are not happy with the changed Product, you will be able to choose a different product as a long-term replacement for your changed easy-repeat Product;
- discontinued or removed from easy-repeat service: if your easy-repeat Product has been discontinued, or removed from the easy-repeat service, we reserve the right to amend your easy-repeat Product and we may include a suitable replacement (including alternative sizes) in which case you will be notified of this change and we may provide details of the suitable replacement.
- If you do not wish to accept a change or replacement or continue with your Instalment or your easy-repeat plan, you can amend your Instalment or easy-repeat plan, or cancel your easy-repeat plan in accordance with these easy-repeat Additional Terms by going into My Petcare Plans on the Website.
- Please contact us if you are not happy with the substitute easy-repeat Product you receive.
- From time to time, your easy-repeat Product may be unavailable for one of the following reasons:
Cancellation or Modification of your easy-repeat plan
- Once you have applied for an easy-repeat plan or placed an order for the easy-repeat Products, your easy repeat plan will continue unless or until it is cancelled or modified by either of us in accordance with these easy-repeat Additional Terms.
- You may cancel or modify your easy-repeat plan at any time by going to the ‘My Petcare Plans’ page on the Website when signed into your account and selecting your easy-repeat plan. If we have started processing your payment for an Instalment when you cancel or modify your easy-repeat plan, the cancellation or modification will take effect from the following Instalment.
- If you cancel your easy-repeat plan, you will only be charged for the Products dispatched to you and no further Instalments relating that Product will be dispatched by us.
- We retain the right to cancel your easy-repeat plan at any time. If your easy-repeat plan is cancelled, you will be notified of the cancellation.
- Following any cancellation, if you reactivate your easy-repeat plan, the discount applicable to your reactivated easy-repeat Product may not be the same discount that was in effect prior to cancellation. The new discount will be applied to your future Instalments relating to the Product.
- If any problem arises with your delivery address or opted payment method which we are unable to address, we will notify you via e-mail using the e-mail address associated with your easy-repeat plan and any Instalment or easy-repeat plan will be automatically placed on hold. No additional Product orders will be processed or dispatched until the problem is resolved.
Delivery
- You may choose and amend your chosen delivery schedule at any time by editing the frequency option in the My Petcare Plans page of the Website when logged into your account.
- Subject to 20.6.3 below where the final order value of your easy-repeat Instalment is £25 or above, standard delivery of Products subject to any easy-repeat plan is free to any UK Mainland address. Availability to non UK Mainland addresses may be restricted and charges may apply. For further details about delivery please see the Delivery section of the website.
- Where your easy-repeat Instalment is less than £25, you will be charged our standard delivery fee for delivery and this will be set out on your Advanced Notification Email received before each Instalment is processed. You may be able to increase your Instalment value by adding other one-time purchase products to your easy-repeat order (for that Instalment only), or by including additional Products in your easy-repeat plan which will remain on your easy-repeat plan for future Instalments.
- If you change your postal address, you must update your address details in the My Petcare Plans section of the Website when you are logged into your account. To ensure the next Instalment is sent to the correct address, please amend the address details within the timeline set out in your Advanced Notification Email. We do not accept liability for any failure of Instalments to be delivered to you in circumstances where you have provided incorrect delivery address details or failed to update your delivery address details within the timeline set out in your Advanced Notification Email.
- Please report any lost products by contacting us within 7 days of expected delivery.
Price, Payment and Application of Discounts
- For each Instalment, you will be charged the current price (including VAT where applicable) of each Product that is live on our website on the date that payment is taken, so the price stated on your Advance Notification Email may increase or decrease (for example, if a product is on offer when you receive your Advance Notification Email and that offer ends before payment is taken, or if a product goes on offer before the payment is taken but after receipt of the Advance Notification Email). The date of payment varies depending on your chosen payment method.
- The easy-repeat discount you receive will be the discount applicable to the Product, as detailed in the Order Confirmation. Temporary discounts and time limited or special offers only apply to Instalments that are processing while that discount or offer is available. If product is on offer and it brings the price down further than your easy-repeat discount would, we will match the price of the offer to ensure you always receive the lowest Pets at Home price. Please note that easy-repeat discount cannot be applied to your Product in conjunction with multi-buy offers such as ‘buy one, get one free’ and ‘3 for 2’ or offer of similar nature.
- By subscribing to an easy-repeat plan, you agree that we will charge you for all Instalments of your easy-repeat plan until cancelled.
- The price of each easy-repeat Instalment will be charged to the payment method used to create your easy-repeat plan. If we are unable to complete your Product order using the payment method you used to create your easy-repeat order or otherwise indicated by you, we will attempt to take the payment multiple times, and if we are still unable to complete the payment process, we will cancel your Instalment and put your easy-repeat plan on hold until you update your payment method. If three consecutive easy-repeat Instalments are cancelled due to failed payment, we will cancel your easy-repeat plan.
- We will take payment for the first Instalment of your chosen easy-repeat Product when you first set up your easy-repeat plan. Subsequent payments will be deducted from your chosen payment method 3 days after receipt of the Advance Notification Email provided you do not cancel your easy-repeat plan or Instalment, and will be followed by an Order Confirmation Email setting out the price you have paid.
- You must pay all charges until your easy-repeat plan is cancelled in accordance with these easy-repeat Additional Terms. We will not refund charges paid or payable by you except in the case of our administrative error or as otherwise provided for in these easy-repeat Additional Terms.
Limitation of Liability
- Without prejudice to the limitation of liability set out in our Terms &Conditions and to the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, our liability to you in connection with your easy-repeat plan will not in any circumstances exceed the amount of the charges actually paid by you in connection with the Instalment subject to the relevant claim or dispute.
- Nothing in these Additional Terms is intended to limit or exclude your statutory rights as a consumer.
- We shall not be liable for any banking charge incurred in connection with your selected payment method.
- We do not guarantee the availability of any Product.
- Nothing in this paragraph is intended to restrict or exclude our liability for fraud, death or personal injury to any person caused by our negligence, or otherwise exclude any liability which may not be excluded by law.
