It only uses a little bit of power to tilt the plate, after which the ball rolls around by itself. The smart toy even goes to sleep as soon as your cat stops playing, saving loads of battery power. The toy's mechanicals are located underneath the plate, out of your cat's reach. And none of the parts move violently, so your cat can burn some energy while playing safely.
