Mikki helping hands will help your recovering dog to manoeuvre more easily and independently. It enables the handler to take much of the weight off the hind legs whilst allowing the front legs to function normally. This allows the dog to exercise which will aid circulation during a convalescent period. Ideal for providing effective support for dogs after surgery or treatment for spinal disorders. Comfort is crucial in helping your dog recover quickly, after surgery. The Mikki Helping Hand Support System will ensure effective post-operative support and will reduce weight from your pet's back legs and spine. How to use:
1. With the V-shaped area facing forward, introduce the dog's hind legs into the appropriate holes.
2. Make sure that the long-handled support strap is free to pass over the hindquarters.
3. Draw the Helping Hand up the legs until it can be wrapped around the dog's hindquarters. Then close the Velcro fasteners.
4. Check that it is properly fitted (with male dogs check that the urinary orifice is free) before fastening the straps.
5. Take the support strap and lift the dog's hindquarters to ensure that the animal is comfortable, before proceeding with gentle exercise.
Discuss the use of the Helping Hand with your veterinary surgeon and take appropriate advice on fitting and exercise.
